My name is Shirley. I moved to Tokyo a long time ago and never quite finished moving in. I keep a list, on paper and in my phone, of the places I love and the places I'd send a friend to.

This is that list, gently.

I'm not a critic. I don't write reviews. I'd rather tell you about the wooden room above the tracks where the espresso is good and the light is better, and then leave you to find your own corner of it.

Everything here is something I've been to, recently, on my own time. Nothing is sponsored. Nothing is rated. If a place I loved closes or slips, I quietly remove it.
